Detox Program Overview
Florida Center for Recovery, Inc. is a fully
accredited, state licensed detox center offering alcohol
detox programs as well as programs to treat chemical
and substance abuse. All of our detox programs, including
alcohol detox, involve a twelve step treatment schedule
divided into three phases. During phase one, we begin
drug or alcohol detox and clients become acclimated
to our facility while we conduct physical evaluations,
lab tests and a biopsychosocial assessment. During
phase two, the detox program becomes more intense
and the client and his or her therapist work together
to design a master detox plan. Expectations are higher
and clients begin to embrace recovery-oriented behavior.
Phase three completes the detox program. We focus
on aftercare planning and our clients leave us with
the confidence and the mindset to continue this positive
lifestyle change

Because drug offenders
are frequently arrested, they often suffer withdrawal
symptoms while behind bars. Demerol withdrawal and Xanax
withdrawal are both particularly uncomfortable because
these drugs affect the central nervous system. During
Demerol withdrawal and Xanax withdrawal, addicts experience
anxiety, tremors, rapid heartbeat, insomnia and potentially
life threatening seizures. |
The goal in any drug
detox program is to rid the body of terrible poisons
and compassionate drug detox can make the difference
between a successful detoxification process and a frustrating
cycle of failure. FCR’s detoxification program
eases the addict through drug detox with a gentle but
firm, result-oriented approach - slowly achieving complete
detoxification by weaning the addict away from a debilitating
dependence on drugs. Our doctors are renowned for their

specifically tailored detoxification programs for each
