About the company
The EDC is a 501c (6) not-for-profit, membership organization. The EDC's members strongly support the growth and expansion of St Lucie local and regional economies and consider membership an investment in the future of the St Lucie area. Their method of involving members in economic development activities is through a taskforce concept. To address issues of interest to their members, the EDC organizes a task force with a clear objective and a timeline for accomplishment of the objective. The taskforce is dissolved once it is no longer necessary to meet.

Development Case Study
Economic Development Council of St. Lucie is one of Micro Web Design's biggest clients. MicroWeb developed and executed many unique features into the EDC website. MicroWeb Design developed inventories of press releases, news letters, retail sales, and a calendar to keep track of previous and up coming events. Micro Web Design also designed a membership directory, which is able to search by an alphabetical listing, as well as search through categories. EDC requested that MicroWeb designed a realtor database for the EDC clients to upload commercial listings that allowed them to enter in the price, lot, city, and address. This information can also be searched by any person that comes to the site. The realtors also have the ability to upload pictures to accompany their listing.
